nutritional therapy
Nutritional Therapy uses a science based approach (physiology, biochemistry and nutrition) to maintain health and treat disease through the use of good nutrition and dietary supplements. Additionally, we are able to use our expertise in stress management and fitness coaching to enhance results for our clients.
Nutritional therapy is holistic because it is designed to treat the body as a whole – curing the causes of problems, not just the symptoms as is too often the case in conventional medicine.
Conditions which respond well to Nutritional Therapy include;

So how do we work?
This service is most effective when delivered face to face on an individual basis.
Before your first nutritional therapy appointment you are asked to complete an extensive questionnaire on your lifestyle, symptoms, childhood illnesses, current medications and diet. You are asked also to complete a three-day food diary. The questionnaire is returned before the first consultation, so the therapist can focus more on clarifying details during the consultation. Better information is obtained this way and less time is spent obtaining basic information during the consultation.
Each nutritional therapy consultation takes approx. 45 minutes . Your case history will be discussed in detail and your questions will be answered. You may be prescribed some supplements and will be given suggestions and handouts for a therapeutic diet regime tailored to help alleviate symptoms and improve overall well being. Occasionally, to aid clarification, laboratory tests are recommended. Follow-up consultations are spaced two to three weeks apart. We recommend that you book an initial and at least two follow-up consultations to optimise results.
If you feel you need guidance before making an nutritional therapy appointment, please contact us on 07525 489750 during normal office hours.
XS NRG only uses Nutritional Therapists who are registered with the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT).
