We offer two CIEH accredited manual handling courses;  Principles of manual handling (see syllabus here) and Principles and Practice of manual handling  (see syllabus here)

Thes level 2 CIEH qualifications introduce candidates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what to expect from a manual handling assessment. They will enable employees to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace.

The Principles of manual handling qualification covers the following topics:

  • The process of manual handling in the workplace
  • Manual handling injuries and the activities which cause them
  • Manual handling assessment and control options
  • Responsibilities imposed by the Manual Handling Operations Regulations

In addition the Principles and Practice of manual handling covers;

  • manual handling techniques – lifting loads from low levels/working at low levels/lowering from height/pushing loads/pulling loads/carrying/team handling.

    • The Principles of manual handling course costs £95 per person and the Principles and Practice of manual handling course costs £149 per person.
