our environmental policy

XS nrg Limited delivers auditing, consultancy and training services in the fields of environmental protection, health, safety and wellbeing and performance improvement at it’s Porthcawl and Cardiff Bay offices, customer premises and training venues at Regus offices throughout the UK.

We believe that protection of the environment, which governs the quality of all our

lives for now and the future, is as at least as important as anything else we do. In

this we accept the “Duty of Care” imposed by legislation as the minimum standard

to be set and maintained throughout all our operations.

The nature of our business is to enhance for our clients, the environments in which

they work, but we are also conscious of the environment beyond our immediate

operations and take every practicable step to minimise environmental harm, nuisance and pollution.

In order to achieve these aims, the company observes the following practices;

Develop a sustainable business operation

  • Consider the three pillars of sustainability in all that we do and develop a business that is;
    • Financially viable

    • Socially equitable

  • Incorporation of environmental considerations into each job from the planning stage to its completion.
  • Use materials which present the least environmental impact and hazard

  • Operation of processes designed to prevent the release of hazardous or nuisance materials into the air, water or onto land.
  • Minimisation of the production of waste, recycling of waste where possible and proper disposal where not so.
  • Building an environmentally friendly work culture through training and high quality communication with staff.
  • Adopting an environmental management system which complies with the requirements of the Green Dragon Environmental Standard.

  • Commitment to reduce our CO2 emissions by a minimum of 3% in 2010, through membership of the 10:10 scheme.

Tackle resource depletion

  • More efficient use of energy and water;
  • Use of recycled paper containing only post-consumer waste for all non-specialist printing whenever possible;
  • Compost all suitable organic material
  • Avoid the use of disposable products e.g. cups and plates

Work in partnership with others to protect the environment
