XS NRG is pleased to announce that it is now working with Groundwork Wales to provide the Green Dragon Environmental Standard across Cardiff, Newport and the Vale of Glamorgan. After entering into a licensing agreement with Groundwork Wales, XS NRG will be auditing companies and organisations against the Green Dragon Environmental Standard.

The Green Dragon Environmental Standard recognises effective environmental management in companies and organisations, large and small in any industry or business sector. The Standard provides a great opportunity for all businesses to develop an environmental management system relevant to their specific needs.

Ian McIntosh, Groundwork Wales Director said “Groundwork is committed to working across Wales to support all organisations including local authorities, community groups, social enterprises and private sector businesses to achieve Green Dragon certification. This new partnership with XS NRG will assist in continuing to ensure that the needs of all Welsh businesses are met, by providing the Standard to current and new clients.”

The Green Dragon Environmental Standard is a stepped system comprising five Levels of achievement. A company or organisation can apply at the level that suits their size, structure and activities. It provides the framework to:

make cost savings;

comply with legislation;

improve environmental performance;

increase competitiveness.

Achievement of any level receives recognition through certification and addition to the Green Dragon Website Register, demonstrating an organisations progress and commitment to environmental management.

To gain certification at a particular level the organisation must meet the requirements of that level and all previous levels.

The five Green Dragon Levels are:

Level 1 – Commitment to Environmental Management;

Level 2 – Understanding Environmental Responsibilities;

Level 3 – Managing Environmental Impacts;

Level 4 – Environmental Management Programme;

Level 5 – Continuing Environmental Improvement.

XS nrg has just launched an online stress audit tool which follows the Health and Safety Executive Management Standards Indicator Tool.

Once employees names, contact and job details, have been input into our system, each person will each receive an email with a link to a 35-item questionnaire relating to six primary stressors identified in the Management Standards for Work Related Stress.

The items are based on the best available evidence linking work design to health outcomes.

It has been designed to support the process described in the Management Standards by providing a broad indication to organisations of how well their workforce rate their performance in managing the risks associated with work related stress.

Once all the questionnaires have been completed our team of management, health, wellness and stress management experts will analyse the results, which can be collated at four different levels of a customers choice e.g. employee, department, office/sites, company.

We will produce a report to present the results, highlight areas for improvement and suggest solutions to improve performance.

The whole process, will be managed by an XS nrg Account Manager and can include;

Initial consultation with the customer

Input employee details

Campaign set up

Writing to each employee to explain the campaign process and objectives

Activating the campaign

Managing the campaign to completion

Collating results

Analysing results

Producing a report

Presenting the report to stakeholders

Coordinating any follow up actions

Repeating the exercise periodically to monitor improvements.
